Medium Access Control
Medium Access Control or MAC is in the simplest term a unique identifier assigned to a physical or virtual network interface. The first three sets of two hexadecimal numbers in a MAC Address identifies the card manufacturer and this number is called OUI (organisationally unique identifier).
Pipe Ten often uses MAC address to lock IPv4/IPv6 addresses for use only by specific network adaptors within its network and prevent other customers from using them.
