Denial of Service
Denial of Service or DoS as the name suggests is an action performed by a third party to deny access to a service by another. DoS can sometimes be initiated from a single source, but in many circumstances DoS will be initiated from many sources an is so is called a Distributed Denial of Service or DDoS. DoS are typically either volumetric (saturating the capacity of a service through sheer volume of data) or application (exploiting features of a service to saturate capacity) or both.
Pipe Ten works with customers and suppliers to design cost-tolerant solutions to DoS and other known and emerging threats.
