Internet eXchange

Internet eXchange or IX refers to the physical infrastructure though which connectivity providers meet and connect with each other to exchange data. In the UK these include IXBradford, IX Brighton, IXLeeds, IX Liverpool, NetIX and the larger LONAP and LINX (which includes IXCardiff, IXScotland, IX Manchester and of course London).

Pipe Ten having its physical colocation primarily in Derby, Sheffield and Manchester primarily interconnects via LINX, LoNAP and IX Manchester/Leeds but is provider agnostic and able to provide full international reach.
