Web Application Firewalling

Web Application Firewalling or WAF is as the name suggests, a way to firewall and protect an application running over the web. This typically involves reverse proxying the web application and filtering and examining requests looking for harmful actions and content. WAF are very much focused on protection against the OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities.
