Virtual Private Network
Virtual Private Network or VPN is in the most simple terms a way to connect two remote computers or networks to each in such a way to secure and accessible. Data between the two endpoints should be encapsulated and encrypted for a balance of security and performance. VPN can be provided in many different ways with popular options being IPSec, OpenVPN and L2TP.
Pipe Ten uses VPN extensively for its own administration duties and its customers, for remote workers and connecting diverse networks including data center.
