Hardware Security Module
A Hardware Security Module or HSM is a physical device used to manage cryptographic keys and sign data. HSM are commonly used in the banking and finance sectors to sign messages using a key which is kept safe from prying eyes through its isolation to hardware. HSM commonly feature keyed access, access and movement detection and auto-wiping; all to protect the integrity of the cryptographic keys contained within.
Pipe Ten helps deploy HSM including (but not limited to) Thales and nShield for its customers where optimum security and compliance is required for network and service access such as FasterPayments.
